  • If you are visiting a chiropractor for the first time, expect to provide a health history. This may include asking you about any illnesses, past surgeries, medications and other health issues. The chiropractor will ask you about your pain and conduct a physical examination to assess and diagnose the problem. Sometimes x-rays may be required. Your chiropractor will explain the findings of the assessment to you and discuss the treatment recommendations, ensuring your consent to treatment is informed and your questions are answered.

  • Kids have spines, just like adults. Kids also have stresses to their spines, just like adults. Mechanical stresses such as poor posture, heavy book bags, learning to walk, and even the birth process can affect the growing and developing spine. These stresses on the spine can cause subluxations (locked joints with pinched nerves) which can negatively affect overall health. With gentle, specific chiropractic adjustments, nerve flow is restored, as well as a greater level of health. There are numerous studies that show the benefits of chiropractic for children.

“I had an initial appointment today with RMT Kim, for a massage, followed by a chiropractor appointment with Dr. Germaine.

Firstly, the massage was probably the best I’ve had in a very long time. Coming from an extensive athletic background, I’ve had my fair share of RMT’s and Kimberly was able to hit a lot of spots that have been bothering me. She listened to my concerns and the pressure and technique were perfect. She made me feel comfortable and ensured that it was my experience to enjoy as well. I will definitely be coming again.

Following the massage, I had an appointment with Dr. Germaine. He was extremely thorough, and it was the first time I’ve ever been x-rayed prior to my appointment. He was able to see some of my spots that have been bothering me, plus found out some interesting things about my spine, neck and hips. The adjustment following was great. He was very professional and made me feel at ease.
